CTH’S ICONS, AUDIO SERIES
The Classical Theatre of Harlem (CTH) and Venus Radio Theater Company teamed up to create ICONS, an annual series of audio plays.
For the collection of plays, CTH commissioned Harlem-based playwrights to create monologues performed by Harlem-based actors, honoring the largely unsung voices of fascinating figures.
Vol 1 focused on the Harlem Renaissance and was distributed by Playbill, while Vol 2 focused on “El Barrio” and was distributed by American Theater.
My Role
CTH handles the selection of the topic and organizing the writers for the project. I take the written word and produce it into fully realized audio pieces. I produce, direct, and edit the series as well as sound engineer the recording sessions.
